In two days, stands will be filled with fans of global cricket stars at Bakshi watching the favourite players in action. Kashmir in the month of autumn is set to paint splendid colours of sport as the summer capital Srinagar will be hosting the Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL) 2025.
There should be more events like IHPL so that the talent of Jammu and Kashmir gets inspired with the global stars.
The IHPL represents more than just a sporting occasion; it is a defining moment for the Kashmir region. The announcement of Bakshi Stadium, in a pristine setting of Srinagar, gaining saturation with clamouring fans on 25th October electrifies a substantial opportunity for Foreign Investment in Kashmir.
A plethora of International and local cricket stars will soon emerge to the valley, along with the rest of the world witnessing cricket take flight with a backdrop of breathtaking vistas, that possibly represent the finest scenery in the world.
Beyond cricket, the league will represent the best of Peace, Prosperity, and Opportunity to the region.
For decades, the children of the valley had an unparalleled enthusiasm for
cricket, practicing in the streets, on maidans, and in academies – awaiting their moment to display their talents on significant stages.
This will be the second time a sporting spectacle has been provided, on home ground no less, to honour the talent by watching their dreams in person, to a familiar sound of leather connecting willow.
This distinction will provide motivation for a generation, to show that their dreams are real and the world wants to witness their magnificence.
The positive effects will not only stop with cricket. The affiliation of teams, management, media, and multiple supporters (and supporters providing a valuable financial win) is a huge boost for the local businesses/economy.
Much credit must go to the Jammu & Kashmir administration and the event organisers. Their vision and planning have ensured excellent venues and facilities along with different arrangements for a world-class experience.
The people in Kashmir have always been the best ambassadors of the region and, we have no doubt their hospitality and passion will provide an incredible atmosphere and turn every match into a festival.
