J&K Moving Fast

Jammu and Kashmir has received investment proposals worth Rs 60,000 crore and proposals worth Rs 10,000 crore are under execution.
The J&K administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, during the past 2-years has put in relentless efforts to attract investors to the Union Territory.
Investments flowing into J&K have changed the industrial climate in the region. More and more youngsters are coming forward to set up their own units and the arrival of the private sector has created a number of opportunities for the young people.
Since 1947, Jammu and Kashmir had received private investments to the tune of Rs 14,000 crore only. However, after the introduction of the new Industrial Development Scheme and personal interest taken by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, the UT has received investment proposals worth Rs 56,000 crore in just about one year’s time.
The big business and small houses coming to J&K would address the issue of unemployment in the region to a great extent. The setting up of new business units is good news for youth. They no longer will have to wander from one state to another in search of a job.
Besides focusing on the investments the government is encouraging youngsters to become job providers rather than job seekers. This has also helped the unemployed youth to explore options to choose what they want to do in their lives.
The J&K Government has also received dozens of proposals for establishing health care projects in the two medi-cities of J&K. These include Dubai based businesses like EMAAR Group, Noon.com, Al Maya Group, GL Employment, MATU Investments and others.
The new investments in J&K hold the key to change the landscape of the Union Territory as history stands testimony to the fact that whichever region has witnessed industrial revolution in the past has developed into a model state and it has led to the lives of people becoming easy.
J&K is witnessing a golden era of industrial development and the plan that has been formulated by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for J&K’s development is scripting a new chapter in the history of the Himalayan region. Jammu and Kashmir is moving and is moving fast.
