Hard work key to success

BY: Raja Khursheed

Every person needs hard work to get its success hard work and struggle are necessary in life for achieving a goal.
Laziness is the only thing which makes a unsuccessful life to a person. If a person wants to be  a successful and meaningful life then he/she must be  possessed dedication, self reliance, self efficiency and self determination these are important tools for a successful life.
Time is passing but the tireless hard work always gives its good fruits. Everything is impossible without hard work but all is possible with hard work. Hard work is essential tool for attaining goal in every field of life. However we all know the previous year 2020 has badly impact the all achievements of life all over the life.
It had affected all the important sectors even in education sector. The development of any country or nation is up to its educated youth, though in the last year the sudden outbreak of pandemic disease and intercepted network system in our Kashmir hits the education sector, the students did not get the education properly due to closing of schools besides the online classes remained inconvenience by buffering of internet. Students had to faced suffer a lot to get proper guidance of teachers. But the promising and dedicated students did not lose their hearts they continued their hard work of burning their candles all nights and shining their good luck, they are appreciable for their tireless hard work. They shined the name of their teachers and parents. Recently the declaration of 10 the class result and good  average percentage of 75% successful candidates. I was very happy to see the name of some students who secured 499/500 of my neighbouring villages. Most of these students belongs to a very poor families. Proud of thing which shakes the hearts of everyone is that they did it all without taking online classes and getting coaching centres. Among these shining stars one of our blooming beloved dear sister Meenu Ashraf who also came on top in figuring of these brilliant students. Meenu Ashraf belongs to a very poor family her father is a labour by profession. Who hardly fulfil his basic requirements of life but he continued support her daughter for getting good education.
Meenu also won the heart of her father who put his sweat and blood together all days even in scorching heat and chilly cold for full filling the basic needs for his daughters education. Poverty does not matter for any achievement of goal in life but to attain any goal of life there needs dedication, and hard work. We see in our surroundings most of the students get all kind of facilities in their life to get good education but they waste their time in untrodden ways which later turned their life in hell Meenu is the good  inspiring example for all those students who want to get their name in highest ranks and want to touch the sky I am very proud to Meenu and wish her a better, brighten and shining future and pray to Allah may her dream come to true to become an IAS officer. The beloved sister has cheer up our hearts and earned a good name for her parents and teacher and won the heart of every one. It is ought to responsibility of every child that they must work hard and do not waste the penny of their parents in useless things but should shining the name of their parents and themselves.

With no staff to run ventilators in GMC Anantnag, critically ill patients face referrals to Srinagar

By: Ahmed Shabir

Anantnag: After Valley witnessed surge in Covid-19 cases last year, the authorities provided at least 22 ventilators to the Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag.
Sanctioning ventilators to these newly set up medical colleges was meant to prepare them to deal with Covid-19 situation. However, nearly a year has passed after the healthcare facility got the ventilators, the patients continue to be referred to Srinagar hospitals for ventilation support.
Though authorities have installed some of the ventilators in ICU and Covid isolation ward but non-availability of the staff to run them is forcing doctors to refer the critical patients needing immediate ventilation support to different Srinagar hospitals.
A doctor posted in the hospital said the conversion of the district hospital into medical college two years ago has not helped in improving the healthcare at the facility but instead added to the mess.
“This is irony that around two dozen ventilators are available here out of which nearly one dozen were installed some three months ago. But there are no specialist doctors and para-medics to run them as a result of which critically ill patients have to be referred to Srinagar,” the doctor said.
Half of ventilators are gathering dust and rust as there is no one to operate them.
Another doctor said many of the patients referred to Srinagar die on way due to delay in treatment.
“Some patients, who suffer stroke, need to be put on invasive mode of ventilation immediately but a lot of time is lost during the travel to Srinagar as a result of which most of them die,” the doctor said.
Invasive mode of ventilation, he said, is not possible unless the hospital has enough medical and para-medical staff in Anesthesia department, which is supposed to operate this facility in wards and ICUs.
GMC, Anantnag started functioning two years ago from District Hospital building Anantnag after the same was converted into the medical college. It remains the major healthcare facility catering to the patients from four south Kashmir districts.
A source in the hospital rued non-seriousness of GMC authorities in developing the infrastructure at the facility despite huge fund availability.
“In last two years, government has released at least Rs 75 crores for infra development of the hospital but despite funds, nothing seems to have changed here,” he said.
He said the medical college sometimes does not have reagents for weeks even for the common blood tests like lipid test, KFT and LFT.
Medical superintendent, GMC Anantnag, Dr Iqbal, said GMC is running short of staff to provide invasive mode of ventilation to the patients.
“We have only non-invasive mode of ventilation available in ICU. Unless we don’t have enough staff available, invasive mode of ventilation needed by critically ill patients is not possible,” Iqbal said.

The directive has been issued as the Aadhar and other laws (Amendment) Act, 2019, mandate use of Aadhaar authentication for beneficiaries under Section 7 law 2016 in those schemes which are funded out of consolidated fund of the State.
The use of Aadhaar as identity document for delivery of services or benefits or subsidies simplifies the government delivery processes, brings in transparency and efficiency, and enables beneficiaries to get their entitlements directly in a convenient and seamless manner by obviating the need to produce multiple documents to prove one’s identity.
Of those schemes for which notifications, five are implemented by the Horticulture department, three each by departments of Education and Labour & Employment, two by Social Welfare department and one each by departments of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs,  Tribal Affairs, Tourism and Youth Services.
