Srinagar, Apr 14: A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by its spokesperson Mohammad Iqbal Tramboo, Constituency Incharge Habba Kadal Arif Laigroo on Tuesday visited Basant Bagh in Habba Kadal to offer condolences to the family of Hayat Gulzar, a young man, who tragically drowned in the river Jhelum.
The delegation included former State Secretary Abdul Hameed Kohsheen, District Coordinator Dr. Ali Mohammad, Zone President Tufail Bhat, and Organising Secretary Faheem Bhat.
The leaders expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. Interacting with locals, they were apprised of the circumstances surrounding the incident and raised concern over the handling of the situation.
The PDP leaders called for a fair and transparent inquiry to ascertain the facts and fix responsibility, while also urging the administration to extend all possible assistance to the bereaved family. They noted that the deceased was reportedly the sole breadwinner and assured the family of their continued support during this difficult time.
