‘Fuel, LPG supply stable across J&K’

Srinagar, April 3: Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Friday said that the supply of petroleum products and LPG across Jammu & Kashmir remains stable, with adequate stocks available to meet current demand.

State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry, J&K, Himanshu Sharma said the stock position of Motor Spirit (petrol) and High-Speed Diesel is normal across the Union Territory, with OMC depots maintaining sufficient inventory levels and retail outlets ensuring uninterrupted sales.

He added that LPG availability is also comfortable, with bottling plants maintaining stock levels in line with prescribed norms and regular replenishments underway.

Sharma said OMCs are closely monitoring the supply situation and have taken steps to streamline logistics and expedite deliveries to avoid any disruption in availability.

Advising consumers against panic buying, he said supplies are being replenished regularly and are sufficient to meet demand. LPG consumers have also been asked to book cylinders through digital platforms and verify deliveries using the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) to ensure transparency.

The OMCs have sought public cooperation to maintain smooth and efficient distribution of fuel and LPG across the Union Territory.
