Srinagar, Jan 22: Jammu and Kashmir Retired Accounts Personnel Welfare Forum (JKRAPWF) on Thursday expressed profound sorrow and deep grief over the sad demise of Abdul Ahad Malik, former Head of the Department, who headed the Accounts cadre for a long period and had been retired for several years.
Malik’s contribution to the welfare, development, and strengthening of the Accounts cadre remains invaluable and unforgettable, reads a statement issued by M.S. Zahid, President of the Forum.
“During his distinguished tenure, he played a pivotal role in ensuring timely promotions for Accounts personnel and was instrumental in making the Funds Organisation fully independent, covering both Gazetted and Non-Gazetted staff of the cadre. His administrative foresight, clarity of vision, and unwavering commitment significantly strengthened the institutional framework of the Accounts organization.”
Abdul Ahad Malik was an outstanding personality—straightforward, outspoken, and a bold officer—who earned wide respect for his integrity, fearlessness, and principled decision-making. His leadership left a lasting imprint on the cadre and continues to inspire all those who had the privilege of serving under him.
All members of the Jammu and Kashmir Retired Accounts Personnel Welfare Forum deeply mourned this irreparable loss. His passing is not only a great personal loss to his bereaved family but also a collective loss to the entire Accounts fraternity.
The Forum prayed to the Almighty to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and to bestow patience, strength, and courage upon the bereaved family to bear this immense loss.
