Ganderbal, November 22: In a proactive security initiative, Police in Ganderbal carried out extensive searches across various Industrial Estates in the district to Audit the Stocks and usage of industrial chemicals.
The drive aimed to verify whether any units were handling chemicals that could potentially be misused for unlawful or anti-national activities. Officers interacted with management, inspected storage facilities, and reviewed documentation to ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory norms, a police spokesman said.
All stakeholders were sensitized about the importance of strict compliance with regulations governing the handling and distribution of hazardous substances.
Meanwhile, police reiterated that such preventive measures will continue in the future to eliminate any possible threat and to ensure that industrial materials are not diverted for malicious purposes. “The district police remain committed to maintaining peace, security, and vigilance at all critical installations.”
