Srinagar: A new wave of entrepreneurship is emerging in Jammu and Kashmir, as young innovators and creators recognize the untapped potential of local products.
“In recent years, there has been a paradigm shift, with a growing emphasis on harnessing indigenous resources and talents, encouraging the region’s youth to leverage new opportunities and take their products from local to global,” an observer told Precious Kashmir.

“Jammu and Kashmir is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and diverse natural resources. The youth have recognized the value of this unique identity, local entrepreneurs are increasingly focusing on creating products that are not only showcasing the region’s distinctiveness but are also contributing to its economic growth,” he added.
Notably, local artisans, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs are at the forefront of this movement, breathing life into traditional crafts and introducing innovative ideas that blend tradition with modernity. From handwoven Pashmina shawls to intricately designed Kashmiri carpets, the local products of Jammu and Kashmir are gaining recognition not only within the country but also on the international stage.
