LG Sinha meets PM Modi

Srinagar, Aug 22: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday, the Prime Minister’s Office said.

“Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri @manojsinha_, met Prime Minister @narendramodi,” the PMO said in a post on X.

According to details, Sinha presented the Prime Minister with the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan – 100 Days Campaign Coffee Table Book.

Designed, curated and published by DIPR J&K, the book documents the journey of the 100-day campaign and the collective efforts towards building a drug-free Jammu & Kashmir.

Sinha has spearheaded the anti-drug campaign in the Union Territory and led rallies across all 20 districts. The drive received a strong public response, with thousands participating in rallies and other programmes held across J&K.

Officials said Sinha also apprised the Prime Minister of various matters concerning Jammu & Kashmir, including the prevailing situation and key issues related to the Union Territory.

“Latest developments and the overall security, administrative and developmental scenario of Jammu and Kashmir were also discussed during the meeting,” they added.  (With inputs from KNO)
