LG pays homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur

Chairperson DDC Gbl, President HCBA Jammu call on Sinha

Srinagar: On the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday paid homage to him and said that it is an occasion to recall his teachings and sacrifices made by the ninth Guru.

LG in a post on X said, “Homage to ‘Hind Ki Chadar,’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, on his martyrdom day. It is an occasion to recall the teachings and sacrifices made by Guru Ji.”

“Let us rededicate ourselves to the ideals of compassion, equality, brotherhood and justice as epitomised by Guru Ji,” he added in the post.

Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth of ten gurus who founded the Sikh religion and was the leader of Sikhs from 1665 to 1675.

Nuzhat Ishfaq, Chairperson District Development Council Ganderbal, accompanied by Ishfaq Jabbar, former Legislator called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan on Friday.

The DDC Chairperson discussed with the Lt Governor the upgradation and construction of four lane road from Pandach to Manigam of NH-1 in Ganderbal.

Advocate Vikram Sharma, President High Court Bar Association Jammu also called on the Lt Governor.
