J&K PCC Kashmir conducts cleanliness drive

Srinagar, Oct 1: Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee (PCC), Kashmir on Sunday conducted a cleanliness drive under “Swachhata He Seva” mission under the theme: Garbage Free India.
A massive campaign started at Shankar Acharya hills Srinagar where cleanliness drive was lead by the Principal Secretary Forest, Dheeraj Gupta, in which senior officers of the department and its sister organisation participated.
Solid waste thrown inside Forest areas and along the road was collected and disposed of in eco-friendly jute bags.
As part of the campaign, a joint drive was also conducted in the Regional office of JK PCC Srinagar along with Social Forestry department wherein staff of both the departments participated under the guidance of RD PCC Kashmir Rafi Ahmad Bhat and Mehrajudin RD SF Kashmir.
The campaign ended with the pledge ceremony conducted by Sabiya Mahajan In charge Awareness Cell JK PCC Kashmir.
