A welcome relief

In an encouraging gesture towards students, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education announced that students passing private or bi-annual examinations will now qualify for the succeeding annual regular examination.

This is indeed a move that deserves a round of applause.

Ever since the introduction of private or bi-annual examinations, students who took their examinations through this mode have always been hesitant to try to continue their studies further as often times they were unable to seamlessly move onto their next stream of education after passing their private examination.

This circular aims at tackling that very issue.

Thus, this specific new directive will help a number of students who are in desperate need of a new start after clearing their private exam.

The Board itself has indicated that the primary motive behind this decision was to bridge the discontinuity of studies in students’ academic pursuits, which further goes on to prove that they care about the students’ future.

Education can be really disheartening when it is not continuous, as it leaves students in a lurch.

Having this new rule allowing them to take the succeeding annual regular examination, a number of students will now have the much-needed second chance at completing their studies.

Education is best when it flows seamlessly and without breaks that can potentially derail the student’s motivation and energy.

This is precisely what JKBOSE is providing to the students by enabling successful candidates to move forward into the succeeding annual regular examination, thus giving the students a second chance and an easier opportunity to finish their academic course on time.

This move by the Board is highly appreciable, and they must receive all the credit for taking this decisive action that puts students first.

It conveys a strong message that says they care about the future of the students in Jammu and Kashmir, and it will have a huge impact in the long run.

A great number of students would now have the opportunity to continue their studies unimpeded by their private examinations.
