Constitution India’s pride: Prez

Srinagar, Nov 26: President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday emphasised that the Constitution stands as the foundation of India’s national identity and a guiding force for abandoning colonial attitudes in favour of a more nationalistic outlook.
Speaking at the Constitution Day event held in the Central Hall of the Old Parliament building, now known as Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi, President Murmu said India is emerging as a model of development for the world and has undertaken major initiatives to meet the aspirations of its citizens.
“Our Constitution is a document of national pride. It is a document of the identity of the nation. It is a document to shun the colonial mindset and adopt the nationalistic view and take the country forward,” she said. (KINS)
