SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 04: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election departments, Javid Ahmad Dar has extended warm greetings to people of J&K on the auspicious occasion of Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.
In his message, the Minister said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was a great spiritual ambassador who guided humanity to attain salvation by spreading the cult of devotion to God with eternal message of love, compassion and spirituality amongst mankind.
He said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji envisioned a casteless society free from rituals, thereby redeeming the suffering of humanity from the pangs of agony.
Javid Dar said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji motivated humanity with new ideas, aims, aspirations and called upon it to dispense with the maladies of hypocrisy, falsehood, pretensions and caste-prejudices.
The Minister said that teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji are still relevant today especially in the present complex and materialistic society. He appealed to the people to imbibe the spirit of service and humility as preached by the Great Guru and strive hard for carving out a peaceful, prosperous and healthy society by following the precious legacy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo has extended her heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab, the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, founder of Sikhism.
In her message, the Minister said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of selfless service, harmony, and devotion to truth continue to guide humanity towards a just and inclusive society. She added that on this occasion, everyone should rededicate themselves to the ideals of universal brotherhood and service to humanity, which lie at the heart of Guru Nanak’s philosophy.
The Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
