REASI, SEPTEMBER 11: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi Thursday gave away sanction letters to 35 young entrepreneurs, who had applied for financial support under Mission Yuva to establish their enterprises.
The sanction letters, issued by various J&K Bank branches of the district, were presented to the beneficiaries at an event organised by the District Administration Reasi in collaboration with J&K Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted that Mission Yuva has made significant progress in Reasi district. A total of 832 applications have been approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), out of which 148 have already been sanctioned. Under Mission Yuva – Udyam Jagriti, 100% of the district’s panchayats have been covered through Yuva Doots.
She added that currently an awareness campaign under Udyam Jagriti 4.0 is being implemented across all Colleges in the district, with a special focus on sensitising women, including Lakhpati Didis and members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The initiative underscores the transformative role of entrepreneurship as a catalyst for economic growth and social change.
Capacity-building programs are also being organised in polytechnic colleges to equip students with essential skills for self-reliance. The DC reiterated the administration’s commitment to facilitating training and support programs that will help beneficiaries successfully establish their ventures.
Addressing the youth, the DC encouraged them to take maximum advantage of Mission Yuva and motivate others to benefit from such initiatives. She assured that the District Administration, in coordination with J&K Bank and other financial institutions, will extend all possible support for smooth implementation and timely assistance to beneficiaries.
The General Manager J&K Bank, in his address, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to empowering youth through self-employment opportunities and assured continued support in providing financial assistance to help them realise their entrepreneurial goals.
