Kupwara: As a mark of honour and part of commemorating the sacrifices of police martyrs, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kupwara on Wednesday said to have organized a meeting with families of police martyrs at District Police Lines Kupwara.
The meeting was chaired by DySP DAR Kupwara, who gave a patient and compassionate hearing to the kins of martyrs. During the meeting, the chairing officer assured the attendees that all grievances related to District Police matters would be resolved promptly, a police spokesman said.
He further assured the gathering that the grievances requiring intervention from higher-ups would be communicated without delay to ensure their timely redressal.
In a separate event held on 29th October 2024, photographs of various martyrs were displayed in the primary schools they once attended, as a tribute to their heroic sacrifices. This initiative was a heartfelt gesture to honour the memory of those who laid down their lives in the service of the nation. By displaying their photographs in the schools, the initiative aimed to inspire the younger generation, instilling a sense of pride and respect for the bravery and dedication of these fallen heroes, the statement added.
