Srinagar: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Zone Haba Kadal experienced a significant surge in support today as dozens of National Conference (NC) workers officially joined the PDP in a major event at the party headquarters in Srinagar. PDP President Mehbooba Mufti led the welcoming ceremony, which also saw notable figures such as Arif Laigroo, PDP State Secretary and Haba Kadal candidate, and Zonal President Sameer ul Jameel.
Prominent political figures including Lateef Ahmad Bhat, Nisar Ahmad Bhat, Zahoor Ahmad Shah, Javed Ahmad Rather, Bilal Ahmad Gola, and Bilal Naikoo were among those who switched their allegiance from NC to PDP. This shift represents a significant political realignment in the region.
Mehbooba Mufti highlighted the importance of unity and resilience amid the current political landscape, reaffirming PDP’s commitment to addressing key regional issues such as skill development, health, and education.
