Reliance Foundation youth sports U-15 football championship Kicks off at GVEI

Srinagar: The Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Under-15 Football Championship Tournament 2023 commenced on Monday amidst the lush greenery of the Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) campus.

Around 16 teams from different schools have participated in the football championship.
The inaugural matches featured a dominant performance by the home team against Shadab Higher Secondary School. GVEI triumphed with a resounding 10-0 victory.
The second match witnessed an intense battle between Sanctorum Public School and Doon International School in which. Sanctorum emerged victorious with a convincing 7-0 win.
President of the District Football Association Sirnagar, Bashir Ahmad Malik was the Chief Guest at the occasion while the Coordinator of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) Waseem Aslam, was also in present.
The championship has been organised with an aim to provide the young players a platform where they showcase their talent and gain experience of national standards.
Chairman GVEI Mohammad Yousuf Wani said said that such tournaments bring the best out of a player and help them to work on themselves through understanding their game.
