Infiltration attempt thwarted, 2 terrorists killed in Uri: Police

Baramulla: Two terrorists were killed in an ongoing joint operation along Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday while the officials said that the operation is still underway.

An official told a local news gathering agency that a group of terrorists were neutralized, who were trying to sneak into this side of the LoC, taking advantage of low visibility and bad weather.

He said that the alert forces deployed on the LoC challenged the terrorists, and during the operation two unidentified terrorists were killed, adding that incriminating material, arms and ammunition was recovered.

The operation is still underway, the official added.

“Two Infiltrating terrorists neutralized by vigilant forces. Recovered incriminating materials, arms and ammunition. Extensive search operations are on”, Police wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
