ADG RK Sachdeva visits NCC headquarters Sgr

Srinagar: Major General RK Sachdeva, the Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh, visited the Headquarters of NCC Group Srinagar on Friday.

The visit encompassed a series of impactful engagements, underscoring the remarkable contributions and dedication of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) community in the region.

Upon his arrival at HQ NCC Group Srinagar, Maj Gen Sachdeva was accorded a warm reception by Brig KS Kalsi, the Group Commander. A splendid Guard of Honour, executed with precision, was presented to him by NCC Cadets hailing from the picturesque region of Kashmir.

A pivotal moment during the visit was the convening of a conference, presided over by Maj Gen Sachdeva, which brought together all NCC officers.

During the conference, the ADG meticulously reviewed the diverse range of activities undertaken by the NCC Group in the realms of both Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh.

Maj Gen Sachdeva lauded the relentless efforts of the NCC units in the region and fervently encouraged the attending officers to persist in their invaluable work, which contributes significantly to the transformation and empowerment of the youth.

In a poignant gesture, Maj Gen Sachdeva presented certificates of appreciation to select NCC personnel and cadets.

Those honored include Prof Eshrat Ara, the dedicated NCC Officer in charge of GCW MA Road, Cadet Bilal from Amar Singh College, and Sub Naresh Kumar, reflecting their outstanding dedication and contributions to the NCC cause.

Maj Gen Sachdeva also interacted with cadets, staff, and instructors. Over a cup of tea, he inspired and motivated them to continue their unwavering commitment to their commendable endeavors.

Closing out the visit on a high note, Maj Gen Sachdeva also paid a courtesy call to Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, the GOC Chinar Corps, at Badami Bagh Cantt. The discussions encompassed a wide array of matters pertinent to the NCC, emphasizing its pivotal role in the region.

Maj Gen RK Sachdeva’s visit to HQ NCC Group Srinagar served as a testament to the dedication and excellence displayed by the NCC community in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. It underscored the organization’s unwavering commitment to the empowerment and holistic development of the youth.
