Srinagar: An auto rickshaw driver died in a road accident at Vehil area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday evening.
An official told a local news gathering agency that an accident took place at village Vehil Shopian as an auto rickshaw turned turtle when its driver tried to save a dog on the road.
In the incident, an auto rickshaw driver identified as Sanan Ahmad Mir, son of Nisar Ahmed resident of Hanjipora Shopian received critical injuries, who succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation. (KNO)
