Leh: In continuation of numerous initiatives to raise awareness on environmental issues, sustainable development and preserving ecosystem, the Indian Army observed “International Sun Day” at Bodhkharbu, a statement said.
It said the event marked an Awareness Lecture highlighting the history of Sun Day, importance of renewable energy resources and technologies connected with it.
The event witnessed massive participation by young & budding students from Bodhkharbu, Khangral & Heniskot.The Indian Army has pledged to not only protect the nation’s borders, but also the environment and with its motto of “Service Before Self” it stands firmly to contribute to any national cause. Such initiatives are apt examples of the same.
