Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman, Altaf Thakur on Friday said that asked the political leaders not to mix religion with languages and that faith & religion are not dependent on the language.
Thakur in a statement issued here said that it is irony to see some politicians with myopic vision trying to gain political mileage out of governments’ proposal of introducing Hindi Language in schools from Class 1 to 10.
“Want to ask these politicians with communal mindset that are the Muslims who speak Hindi language in rest of the country Muslims? Or just who speak only Urdu they are the Muslims,” he questioned.
He further said that this mind set needs to change and religion shouldn’t be mixed with languages whatsoever they are. “Faith and religion aren’t dependent on the language you speak. Hope better sense prevails,” he said.
