‘Directions passed by LG, CS major breather for poor’
Srinagar: Senior BJP leader and party’s J&K spokesman, Altaf Thakur on Friday urged the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) of Jammu & Kashmir to abide by the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta about safeguarding and protecting the poor lot during the ongoing anti-encroachment drive so that the common people have a sigh of relief.
Thakur in a statement issued here said that despite the false propaganda by various political parties and leaders to gain political mileage from the ongoing drive but LG’s timely announcement about poor won’t be touched shut the mouths of those, who had started a smear campaign to gain political mileage.
“Now fresh directions from the Chief Secretary came as a major boost to poor lot, who have constructed houses on 5, 7, and 10 malras won’t be touched came as another breather for the poor,” he said.
Thakur, however, said that big sharks and influential won’t be spared and as stated by the Chief Secretary, land retrieved from the influential will be used to construct hospitals, play grounds’, parks and bus stands for common people.
He urged the DCs and ADCs to behave friendly with the poor lot and act tough against big sharks.
