Sopore School starts campus radio

Sopore: A private school in Sopore town has started campus radio to hone the skills of students.

Talking to a local news gathering agency, Managing Director Sanctorum Institute of Education (SIE) Shakir Ashraf said that the ‘Radio Sanctorum’ initiative would provide students a better exposure.

He said that the students will be able to create their own content on any topic, language and would be exposed to find solutions as well.

“The school radio would enable students to take active part, besides it would help them to become broadcasters, decision makers above all solution solvers,” Shakir added.

He said that a team of 15 members including RJ Fajar, RJ Ronaq, RJ Uzair, RJ Aafiyah, RJ Fayiq would be managing the station. Officers and young achievers would be called in by the RJs for interactive sessions.

The campus Radio station was inaugurated this month by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore. Post inauguration, the official also held an interaction with the school’s first RJ Aafiyah, a class 8th student. (KNO)
