DC Sgr reviews status of Mutations of Defense Land

Srinagar: In order to review the progress of Mutations of Defense Land in the District, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad chaired a meeting in his office chamber  here today.

The meeting was attended by Defense Estates Officer, Bhubhati Rohit, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Srinagar, Raies Ahmad and the field staff.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner took a case wise review with regard to present status and progress of Mutations of Defense land in the District.

The DC was appraised that out of total 16 cases, 11 have been settled and remaining 5 cases are under consideration for Equal Value Land.

He was further informed that 85% of the land forming part of the revenue records has been mutated in favour of the Defense authorities.

On the occasion it was further informed that 5379 Kanals of land is not part of the revenue records and rather appears in the records of Forest Department. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner formed joint Team the officers from Defence Estates Department and Revenue Department to reconcile few quantums of land to speed up the mutation process.
