Bandipora: Days after the government cancelled attachment of doctors and paramedical staff, the authorities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district have relieved 57 heath employees including doctors and paramedical staff to their original places of postings.
A document revealed that at least 57 heath employees across the district have been relieved to their original places of postings.
According to details, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Bandipora has relieved 12 employees including six doctors and six staff members from the block to their original places of postings with immediate effect.
Similarly, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Bandipora also relieved the five attached officials from his office and directed them to report to their original place of postings with immediate effect while the Block Medical officer Hajin also relieved eight employees to their original place of postings.
“12 employees including four doctors working in Gurez block are hereby transferred to their original place of postings with immediate effect,” reads an order issued by BMO Gurez.
In district hospital Bandipora, at least 20 employees including five doctors working as Medical Officer and 15 staff members have been transferred to their original place of postings with immediate effect.
Earlier, Principal Secretary to the government, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi had on July 29 ordered cancellation of all attachments of doctors and paramedic staff.
The decision has been hailed by the people in rural areas as they allege that doctors and paramedic staff use their influence to get themselves attached to hospitals in towns and cities for their own convenience that badly hit the healthcare services in rural areas. (KNO)
