Srinagar: ‘Kargil Victory Flame’ on Friday reached Army’s Srinagar based 15 Corps headquarter at Badami Bagh Cantonment and was placed at the Chinar War Memorial, a defence spokesman said.
The General Officer Commanding Chinar Corps Lt Gen ADS Aujla and all ranks of Chinar Corps paid homage to the gallant soldiers of the Kargil War.
“A wreath on behalf of GOC-in-C Northern Command was also placed by COS, HQ 15 Corps. Wreaths and floral tributes were also done by Veer Naris and veterans,” the spokesman said.
Kargil Victory Flame will move to JAK LI Regimental Centre tomorrow.
