Jammu: In its continuous efforts, the Indian Army motivated the youth to join the Armed Forces in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Army however, has also undertaken a variety of programmes to motivate the youth.
Udhampur based Public Relation Officer said based on the theme ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Indian Army organised a motivational lecture for youth at Higher Senior Secondary School, Bhagwah in district Doda to join Armed Forces.
“The aim of the lecture was to provide a platform and create awareness about Armed Forces in which 57 students participated,” he said.
The PRO said in the lecture, students were guided about career oriented courses and various opportunities in the Armed Forces.
“Students raised many queries regarding opportunities and facilities which were satisfactorily responded to by representatives of the Indian Army. The event was a noble undertaking by the Indian Army in Bhagwah to empower the youth of our district, further strengthening the bond between the Indian Army and the people,” he said.
The participants had glowing reviews and feedback for the event with many hoping such an undertaking to be conducted regularly, said the PRO.
