Srinagar: J&K Police detained a notorious drug peddler under the prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act (PIT NDPS) in Handwara on Monday.
A notorious drug peddler identified as Ghulam Nabi Dar alias Nab Dar of Pazipora Vilgam in frontier Kashmir’s Kupwara district was detained under PIT NDPS Act orders issued by the competent authorities, a police statement said.
The drug peddler was often involved in selling and distributing drugs, Heroine and Charas among the populace of Vilgam, Pazipora, Dingre, Dedikot Tarathpora and Kralpora areas of the district besides his involvement in other crimes also, police added.
