Jammu: The State Intelligence Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday
conducted searches at multiple locations in case of fund raising and financial assistance by a militant mastermind of Lashkar-e-Toiba based in Pakistan to its cadres across India to further militant activities in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The SIA spokesman said that SIA conducted searches at various locations across Delhi, Haryana and J&K in connection with militant funding case.
The case relates to raising of funds by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and other organizations based in Pakistan and sending in India as a part of criminal conspiracy to spread violence in J&K and other parts of country.
“On the basis of investigation and corroborated by technical evidence it was revealed that a militant mastermind of LeT, based in Pakistan, has been facilitating and providing financial assistance to its cadres and associates to promote and further terrorist activities in &K and other parts of country.
“Technical evidences and banking transactions have established the identifications of three people and locations in Delhi, one person and location in Faridabad and two locations and persons in Anantnag,” he said.
The spokesman said that the technical evidences confirmed that they are in constant touch with the Pakistan based mastermind.
“During searches conducted, incriminating materials such as digital devices, SIM cards, Mobile Phones and documents, having bearing on the investigation have been recovered and seized. Investigation of the case is in progress,” he added.
