Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on the eve of World Health Day kick-started a massive plantation drive across Kashmir hospitals.
World Health Day is celebrated on April 07 and the theme for this year is “Our Planet, our Health.” The major function was held at the office of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir where the director planted various saplings in presence of senior officers and officials of DHSK.
While speaking on the occasion, the director said “We all know about the famous quote health is wealth. Yes, indeed it is very much true. We all know the importance of being healthy. A healthy individual becomes a productive member of the society and makes an enormous contribution towards upscaling the economy of the country while as on other hand disease brings death and destruction,” he said.
