Pattan: A person was killed and a woman injured in a scuffle in Pattan village of Baramulla district in north Kashmir.
Sources told CNS that two neighbours had assembled to sort out some dispute on the poplar tree, however it happened that during the course of meeting the parties started exchanging heated arguments”, a local source said adding the arguments only intensified with time, leading to a scuffle.
“During the scuffle, a 65-Year old Government Employee of Rakhs & Farm department identified as Sonaullah Dar son of Mohammad Ramzan Dar resident of Gundibrahim Pattan was killed and another woman Injured ”, the source said.
“Both of them were evacuated to Trauma hospital, where a 65-year-old man was declared dead. The injured Lady was Shifted to Srinagar Hospital for further treatment.”
Official sources while confirming about the incident said that the body has been handed over to the family after completing medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile FIR Under Section 302 has been registered in Police Station Pattan for further investigation. (CNS)
