PG students bring laurels to IGGDC Jammu

Secure 1st, 3rd prize at national level PG convention 

Srinagar: The post graduate students of department of conservative dentistry and endodontics from Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu (IGGDC) , have brought laurels to the institution by securing first and third prize in a PG convention held in Madhya Pradesh.

The convention was held by the Indian association of conservative dentistry and endodontics. The statement issued by the college authorities said that Tahira Hamid (2nd year PG student), secured 1st prize in original research paper presentation.

Two other 1st year PG students, Sadiya Inayat and Insha Shafi secured 3rd position in poster presentation, the statement said.

Dr Sukhdir Kour, statement said, also presented her original research paper presentation. The students, the statement said, represented the college at the national level convention under the able guidance of Professor and HOD, Dr Azhar Malik and co-guide, Dr Ajay Gupta.

The statement further said that the students of the college bagging prizes highlights the emphasis being laid by the dental college and the hospital on research in the said field.
