Cong workers protest against G-23

New Delhi: Several Congress workers staged a protest outside the Congress headquarters ahead of a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), supporting the Gandhis and against the leaders, who have been asking for organisational reforms.

A group of party workers staged protest outside the Congress office, ahead of the meeting as CWC members arrived.

The protestors raised slogans, hailing patty president Sonia Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Several senior leaders of Congress have raised demand for organisational polls to be held time-to-time, and many party leaders met in Delhi on Friday evening.

Last year in September, Congress workers had protested outside the residence of Kapil Sibal after he held a press conference, saying that Congress did not have a president.

The leaders, who have come to be known as G-23, are expected to raise demand for fixing accountability for the recent poll debacle. (UNI)
