Srinagar: If you are an art lover or an artist who draws sketch, oil painting, calligraphy and showcase the same. There is a platform that has opened for you in the heart of Srinagar.
At a stone’s throw distance from the historic Ghanta Ghar, Aesthetics Art Gallery exhibition welcomes you to put on display your artwork and showcase your talent.
The founder and co founder of the art place is an amazing couple who have an unending rendezvous with the sketch.
On its first day, the founder of the Exhibition Aesthetic Art Gallery has put his over two dozen art work of nature; birds in display they drew a large number of audiences to watch the creative work.
“This Art Gallery is now a permanent address for bidding artists to showcase their work. Paper cuttings, calligraphy, oil on canvas etc and display it to the public,” said Dr Samia, who is Director of the Gallery.
Samia’s husband Iajaz Ahmad Naqashbandi, who is the founder of the gallery, has put some rare pictures of birds, nature taken by some independent photographers on display.
“Kashmir has a great talent in every sector. We see young artists who have come up with rare piece of artwork. But they lack a proper place to showcase their work. This place is for all these artists. They can put their work on display and show it to people,” Dr Samia said.
On the first day, a good number of people visited the place.
“It is a good initiative. We need such platforms in every field. And I am happy to see this beginning here,” said Waseem Bhat, who works with a local news wire as a news reporter.
