Srinagar: The government on Monday said that execution of pipe distribution at Anderwan area is in progress and is expected to be completed by the end of this financial year.
“Water supply to all habitations of Anderwan area is running normal except a few outgrowth/extensions/left out pockets where work for execution of pipe distribution is in progress & is expected to be completed by the end of this financial year,” the government said in a official communiqué.
“Since the area is benefited by an age old scheme, water demand and consumption has increased due to socio-economic factors has exceeded the supply so in order to increase the service level a new scheme approved under JKIDFC programme has been launched in the area which is in progress. Components viz slow sand filtration plant with PST is nearer to completion.”
“Besides, 60% of multiple dia of pipe distribution system has been got laid at site and rest is in progress.”
