Jammu: In view of the recent infiltration bids on the Line of Control, Police have launched two-days inter Police Stations area domination operation in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir to sensitize remote and inaccessible areas in adjoining districts with history of militancy in recent past.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Shailendra Singh said that the troops from three Police Stations -Arnas, Pouni and Ransoo tracked uphill from different sides while the members of the Village Defence Committees from remote villages participated in the operation.
This two days area domination exercise culminated at Ikhni Top Ransoo, he said.
The top cop added that Iftkhar Ahmed, Dysp Headquarters Reasi coordinated and monitored the entire exercise.
Singh addressed the troops and Village Defense Committee (VDC) members at Ikhni top pass.
He reviewed the preparedness of troops and VDC groups to tackle any untoward incident.
Singh expressed concerns about the militancy related activities in the adjoining district Rajouri and possibility of its spillover effects in district Reasi and directed the jawans to remain vigilant and proactive on this front.
Officials were briefed to work with zeal and dedication to curb the menace of Bovine Smuggling, Narcotics and other crime and take special care about security of vital installations and religious places.
They were also instructed to work for maintenance of communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in the area.
Further people were also briefed to observe COVID-19 Appropriate Behavior and to go for 100 percent Covid Vaccination to get rid of this Pandemic at the earliest. (UNI)
