Srinagar: Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police in a joint operation recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition in the woods of Dardssun in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara on Thursday.
According to a BSF spokesman a joint search operation was launched in the general area of Dardssun forests during which one AK-47 rifle with 790 rounds, one silencer, eight Detonators, three Chinese grenades, three wireless sets with antenna and a compass were recovered.
The operation was conducted by 172 Bn of BSF with Jammu and Kashmir Police in the forest area, he said.
