GoI releases over Rs 140 Cr to SED for financial year 2021-22

Srinagar: Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme Samagra Shiksha, the Government of India (GoI) has released more than 140 crores rupees to the School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2021-22.

In this regard, an order was issued by the School Education Department on Wednesday.

According to the order, the Ministry of Education (MoE) for the Government of India (GoI), it has released at least Rs. 14040.82 lakh under the Samagra Shiksha for its utilization during 2021-22.

The School Education Department said that the funds shall be utilized strictly for the purpose these have been released and there should be no diversion of funds at any level.

The department directed the Jammu and Kashmir Samagra Shiksha project director to forward the utilization certificates till March-31-2022 to GoI with a copy to the finance department and administrative department.

“Red account or the utilization certificates of the funds shall be submitted by Project Director, Samagra Shiksha to the administrative department for onward submission to accountant general,” reads the order.

It also reads that the advance drawl should be as per actual and urgent need and should not result in parking of funds.

The order further reads that “The Scheduled Castes Component, Scheduled Tribes Component and General Component-wise details need to be incorporated in the utilization certificate separately.”

“The Project Director, Samagra Shiksha shall incur expenditure strictly as per the guidelines of schemes and conditions laid down by the Ministry of Education, GoI,” it reads. (KNO)
