President to interact with soldiers at Udhampur today

Jammu: President Ram Nath Kovind will begin his two-day visit to the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh from Thursday.

On Thursday evening, he will visit Udhampur Military Station and interact with troops of the Indian Army.

The Defence spokesperson said that the President will visit the two UTs on October 14 and 15.

“On Thursday, Kovind will perform Sindhu Darshan puja at Sindhu Ghat, Leh and later, he will also interact with troops at Udhampur,” he said.

On October 15, the spokesman added that the President will pay tributes at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass and interact with officers and jawans.

Earlier on July 26, due to bad weather the visit of the President to Drass in Ladakh was cancelled where he had to pay homage to martyrs on the 22nd anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas.
