Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat conference led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday said that it deeply grieves the cold blooded murder of Yasir Ali from Jammu in the forces firing in Anantnag last evening.
APHC in a statement said that such brutal killings have been the norm in J&K for the last more than three decades and thousands of Kashmiris have been killed in this causal manner with impunity.
“When militarisation to repress is pursued as a state policy to handle a live and lingering conflict, rather than seeking conflict resolution, bloodshed and loss of precious human lives -are the consequence.”
The statement reads that APHC regrets this approach of the state and strongly condemned the killings. “It reiterates that a just resolution through peaceful means of the Kashmir conflict is the key to end bloodshed in all its manifestations and usher lasting peace- not the lull before every new storm for the people of Kashmir, that is trumpeted as peace in J&K by the rulers.”
APHC extended its heartfelt condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family of Yasir Ali and prayed for patience for the family.
APHC also grieved the shocking killing of two teachers Supinder Kaur Ji and Deepak Chan in Srinagar on Thursday.
APHC said that it shares the grief and pain that the families of the victims are going through and extended its heartfelt condolences to them.
APHC also said that it believes as do the people of Kashmir, that each and every life lost in the conflict matters equally.
“No victim is seen through the religious prism as each and every one is an equally important part of our society. Irrespective of our faith, all in this land have suffered, and together all the people of J&K press for early resolution of the conflict,” the statement reads. (KNO)
