Shopian: The sanitation workers from Municipal Committee Shopian Tuesday staged a protest after a citizen alleged thrashed a employee for throwing garbage outside his house during the cleaning drive.
The incident occurred at Bonbazar Shopian.
One of the sanitation workers said that a doctor beat up an employee accusing him of dumping garbage outside his house.
He identified the victim employee as Shakil Ahmed Shiekh a resident of Vehil Shopian.
The protesting employees while raising the slogans demanded action against the Doctor.
Some official later on rushed to spot and pacified the protesting employees who afterwards ended their protest. (KNT)
