Police arrest 2 thieves in Sopore; vehicle seized

Srinagar:  Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two thieves in apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, a police spokesman said this evening.
He said Police received a specific information that during the intervening night of  September 25/26 two thieves identified as Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh and Tahir Ahmad Bhat both residents of Sangri Colony Baramulla have stolen apples from orchards at Gurseer Sopore.
On receipt of this information, a Police team from Tarzoo after strenuous efforts ultimately arrested both the accused persons involved in the commission of the crime. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody. A Load Carrier used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 109/2021 under relevant section of law has been registered in Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been taken up.
General public has appreciated and thanked for the prompt action of Police. Police has always maintained that the cooperation of public must to curb social evils.
