Srinagar: A black bear was killed when a vehicle hit the wild animal on Srinagar-Leh national highway in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, official source said on Thursday.
They said a bear died instantly when a vehicle hit the wild animal at Sheikh Bagh Kangan in Ganderbal late Wednesday night.
A team of the wildlife department rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the bear.
Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
