Anantnag: Police on Sunday arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 21700 as stake money from their possession in Anantnag district, officials said.
A police official said that the gamblers were arrested at Shirpora bala. Confirming it, Duty Officer Janglamandi, SI Ghulam Mohammad identified them as Mohammad Sayed Mir of Donipawa, Arif Yaqoob Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar and Nissar Ahmad Dar, all residents of Shirpora. He said police recovered playing card and Rs 21700 on spot. He said a case (FIR no. 406 /2021) under section 13 Gambling Act. (GNS)
