COVID-19 decline: Active cases reduce to 1229 in J&K

Srinagar: The active cases in Jammu and Kashmir which were over 50,000 in peak second wave of Covid-19 have now reduced to 1229 cases with four districts now having just 27 active cases.

As per the data, of 20 districts in J&K, only two districts Srinagar and Jammu have active cases over 100.

Shopian in Kashmir division and Kathua, Samba and Ramban districts in Jammu division have just 27 active cases.

Ramban, with five cases, has the lowest active cases in J&K followed by Shopian with six, Kathua seven and Samba nine.

In Jammu division, Jammu has highest active cases with 121, Reasi 94, Doda 85, Rajouri 61, Kishtwar 44, Udhampur 42 and Poonch 26.

In Kashmir division, Srinagar with 296 has highest active cases followed by Budgam 83, Baramulla 80, Ganderbal 68, Bandipora 54, Pulwama 39, Kulgam 37 and Kupwara and Anantnag 36 each.

Pertinently, 1229 cases are active in J&K that includes 735 from Kashmir division and 494 from Jammu division.

So far Jammu and Kashmir has reported 3,23,499 positive cases, among them 3,17,872 have recovered 4398 have died while 1229 are active. (KNO)
