Srinagar: A shrine was damaged in a fire incident in the downtown Srinagar on Tuesday, official sources said.
They said fire broke out in the shrine of Hazrat Saber Baba at Waniyar, Safa Kadal in the downtown today. Fire spread to almost entire shrine before the fire tenders could reach the spot.
Fire tenders were rushed from different parts of Srinagar to control the leaping flames.
They said fire was brought under control after several hours.
The cause of fire was not known, they said, adding that police has registered a case and initiated proceedings. (UNI)
