Srinagar: A policeman was on Thursday injured in a militant attack in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Official sources said that an unidentified militant fired at a police party with a pistol at around 2050 near Lazibal in Anantnag. “A policeman was injured in the attack,” they said, adding the wounded was rushed to a hospital.
They said the militant managed to escape under the cover of darkness. “Additional security forces have been rushed and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers,” they added. (UNI)
