Kulgam man succumbs at SKIMS

Kulgam: A 29-year-old man from Damhal Hanjipora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, who was grievously injured in a leopard attack last month, succumbed to his injuries here at SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) on Thursday afternoon.

An official said that the victim identified as Showkat Ahmad Wagay (29), son of Gull Mohammad Wagay of Hardumand Gori was attacked by a leopard and was left seriously injured on May 22 in an orchard.

He said Wagay was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam where from doctors referred him to SKIMS, Soura for specialized treatment where he succumbed to his injuries today. (KNO)
